The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is tailored for individuals who have successfully completed the PADI Open Water Diver certification and wish to extend their diving skills and knowledge. This course is designed to enhance your diving skills, increase your depth range to 30m and broaden your understanding of the underwater world. Through a combination of eLearning and practical diving experiences, divers are prepared to explore more challenging dive sites with confidence.
Course Structure
The Advanced Open Water Diver course offers a structured yet flexible training approach, allowing divers to explore areas of interest in more depth alongside a Deep and Navigation dive.
eLearning
This segment involves studying various aspects of advanced diving by completing 5 knowlege reviews that focus on the theoretical aspects required to dive safely and responsibly as an Advanced Open Water dive. In addition to Deep and Navigation you will select a further 3 adventure dives. These need to be agreed with us in advance to check that thay can be completed at the dive sites we will be using on the day of course.
Adventure Dives
The five Adventure Dives focus on different skills and experiences. The Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation Dive are mandatory, providing essential skills for more advanced diving. Divers then choose three additional Adventure Dives according to your interests and goals and the course option selected.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the five Adventure Dives and associated knowledge reviews, divers earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. This certification recognises your enhanced skills and ability to dive to a maximum depth of 30 metres, opening up new diving opportunities worldwide.
